Biography

Started out in the 60's as a CB'er. Served in the Army Security Agency as a Communications Center Supervisor and did two tours in Vietnam in 1968 and 69. Retired fire officer with the Jersey City Fire Department. Got my Tech license in April and upgraded to General in November. Love HF DXing!!

I live in New Jersey, just 15 miles from New York City.

Equipment

Usining Yaesu FT-7800 for 2 meters and 70 cm in the mobile and portable. In the shack I have an Icom IC-718 with an LDG auto tuner. Running just 100 watts to a vertical 10/15/20 meter antenna mounted at ground level. Will be upgrading the antenna to a dipole in the springtime.
