Biography

My Present Call sign is VK1MWI. My name is Wimal Manage. On the band I am known as Wimal.


I was employed at Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. Now I am retired and living in Canberra, Australia.

I worked at many countries ie; Maldive Island, Saudi Arabia, Oman.

Also I have visited many occasions to Singapore, Bangkok, and Malaysia on vacation.

Equipment

I was operating from Colombo, Capital city of Srilanka.

My HF rig: Kenwood TS-430S.

Antenna : wire dipole.

Antenna height: about 10 meters.

Output power: 100Watts.

Normally I was operating on 14 MHz, CW.

Presently I am operating from Canberra Ayustralia. My present call sign is VK1MWI
