Biography
Hello and thank you for looking me up. I obtained my Foundation and Intermediate licences with the superb team at the Stockport Radio Society (http://www.g8srs.co.uk). I have been a proud member of the club since 2016 it is a great club with a superb heritage and tradition. It is my intention to move through intermediate to Full licence holder.
Prior to 2016 I had no knowledge of Amateur Radio or Radio in general save for a friend who had a CB in or around 1979 which I once watched him use, hihi. The hobby has been really rewarding so far, the new friends I’ve met through Radio and the generousity of club members with their knowledge sharing has all been fantastic. Although I have attained the intermediate licence I still consider my self a complete radio novice and probably always will. In my experience the learning never stops.
I am a Network/Hardware Engineer in the Motor industry mainly concerned with Cisco routing equipment and Linux based Server systems with a background in Health and Safety in the Manufacturing industry.
I am a current member of the RSGB and the UKFMGW which is the North West Repeater Group.
Whilst not on the air my other passions in life include Music, Art, History and Computing.
Thanks again for looking.
