Biography

PA6WSD, the ILLW callsign of PD4HW, PB8YL and PA9RD from our Lighthouse activity in Willemstad at the Lighthouse NL-0019.

Anneke, Patrick and me were active in the ILLW on August 21 and 22 from the Lighthouse in Willemstad in the Netherlands at the waterfront of the "Hollands Diep" on the border of the 2 provinces Noord-Brabant and Zuid-Holland.

We operated from inside a caravan/trailer with our equipment. Patrick PD4HW used an Icom IC-7100 for all-mode and all-band use, I used a Yaesu FT-897. We both had a laptop for logging. Anneke filled in the open spaces on our breaks.
Also, the breaks were filled with people coming by to visit us and take a look at the set-up we had.
We had coffee, beer and Coca-Cola. Luckily, we had Anneke to fill those breaks.

The only downside was that around 16.00 hour local time "they pulled the plug" so we had no power anymore and had to stop our activation

But after all we could say it was a success as I look at our logs.

Now I'm busy processing and evaluating the logs and try to upload them to E-Qsl, QRZ and maybe more. QSL direct is also possible and if needed or necessary I'll try to upload them to LOTW also.
Most of the cards, if not all, will be sent via the bureau and/or Global QSL!

UPDATE: Since Global QSL is NOT active anymore, we have to look for another way to send paper cards.

QSL manager: PA9RD
Thanks for working us and if you're in the log QSL will be okay!

73 from Anneke PB8YL, Patrick PD4HW and Ruud/Rudy PA9RD

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Icom IC-7100

And of course our coffee machine for the necessary caffeine
and Coca-Cola.
