| Biography First license in July 1972 as WN3THL, changing over to WA3THL in 1974 when I received my Technician Class Ticket and kept the call as I advance into the General Class. I went inactive in 1989 when my wife passed away and I have three kids I had to take care of, there just wasn't any time left in the day (or night) for Amateur Radio. I had to pack up the station in 2000 due to a move, however, now in 2013, I'm retired from both the US Army and the State of Delaware, all the kids are married and gone, I started putting the shack back together and getting back on the air.
September 12, 2015 we took and passed the Extra exam and now can append /AE to the call until the paper work gets to the FCC. Studying for this exam was actual a good way to get caught up on a lot new stuff in our hobby, very glad that I decided to study for the upgrade.
