Biography
I spent 30 years in the US Army and five years as a teacher. The combat tours were easier than teaching. Hi Hi
I was first licensed at 15 but got more interested in other things, mainly young ladies and let my license expire. Many years later, I retook the Novice and worked my up to Advanced. Once again, the STUPID factor took over and I let my license expire. About two years ago, my friend and next door neighbor in Texas (Winter location), John, KE4D, started the Las Moras Amateur Radio Club and got me interested again. I had to take the Tech Test, then got credit for previously passed elements and got my General. A few months later, I upgraded to Extra and later was lucky enough to get a "genuine" Extra Class Call Sign. We spend approximately six months in Colorado which is our permanent home and six months at Fort Clark Springs, Texas, about 125 miles from San Antonio.
