| Biography Been licensed since high school in a small farming community in Eastern Colorado. Radio was my... and is.. window to the world. I'd get up before dawn, and send a "CQ" off like an arrow shot into the air... if it was heard and answered, my day was set to be a good day. Funny how time hasn't really changed all that much, over the years... I still get up before dawn, do chores, and send a "CQ" into the air, to be answered by a station far, far away. Radio became my career, with Motorola, State of Wyoming DOT, and DOD,Avaya and Sprint working through each with a focus on better communications, radio, digital, or fiber optics. Worked DXCCs: Equipment I have a Heathkit SB104a station, complete with all the accessories, a pair of HR/HX for the novice (Heathkit), an ICOM 761, a pair of K2s, one qrp analog filtering, the other with the 100watt amp and dsp. Both are set for qrp. The AT series of KD1JV radios, and many of his designs including the Tribander, Survivor, and rockmite or two. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
