Biography
I am a native of Houma, Louisiana, born in 1952. I was licensed in 1976.
My wife is from Suriname, South America, and we enjoy our family of three children and four grandchildren who also live near us in Gray, LA.
I am retired from a chemicals manufacturing facility located near New Orleans, Louisiana.
I had been inactive as a ham for a number of years but have recently become active again on many of the bands.
I am Vice President of the Bayou Region Amateur Radio Society, a.k.a. the Thibodaux Amateur Radio Club, http://www.w5yl.org/ My EPC # is 21660.
I am Webmaster and Sunday night NCS for the Central Gulf Coast Hurricane Net conducted nightly on 3935 KHz at 0100 UTC. See: http://hurricanenet.org/

I operate phone HF on an Icom IC-718 and an Ameritron AL-80B linear fed into either a G5RV-jr (40-10 meters) or an 80 meter "Four-legged HorseFence Antenna" at an elevation of 9 meters (30 feet).
I operate PSK-31 with 25 to 30 watts into a G5RV-jr at 9 meters (30ft) elevation from my Icom IC-718 using a Signalink USB soundcard and an ASUS Essentio CG5270-BP004 Desktop PC Core 2 Quad Q8300(2.50GHz) 8GB DDR2 1TB HDD Capacity Intel GMA X4500 Computer using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Operating System running Ham Radio Deluxe version 6.0 interfaced with a "HamlinkUSB Rig Controller Plus" by TIMEWAVE. My EPC# is 21660.
I operate 2 meters mobile with a Yaesu FT-2900R and 144/440 with one of my Baofeng UV-5R Dual Band HT's.
