Biography

Residence:

I live in Dothan, Alabama in Houston County. I have been licensed since April, 1966 and have lived in 15 cities in 6 states, and two cities in Costa Rica.

Employment:

I worked in the insurance claims adjusting / Management field and after my first retirement in 1996, I became bored and went to work for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. I retired, again, in December, 2012. Then, again, got bored and went to work, part time for the Wiregrass Humane Society and still goin' at it!

Other Hobbies:

I love computers and have had home computers since the early 1970's. I currently operate 7 computers and 3 tablets. Our main computer in the home is running Linux Mint Rosa, (primarily my wife's computer), My laptop OS is Mint 19.1 Tessa. My print server is operating with Linux Ubuntu/Samba 12.04 and my main radio shack computer is running Linux Minte 19.1 Tessa. The computer working with my radio and pan-adapter equipment is running a Windows 7 operating system. I also have two netbooks running Mint 19.1 Tessa.

I run uTox on all of the machines and EchoLink on both the Windows and Linux machines in the radio shack.

Family:

My wife and I, together, have 13 children. 8 of them are all hers and 5 are mine!! We have 8 hams in the family. My wife holds the general class license, and I have two sons, a daughter-in-law, two grand daughters and a son-in-law who are licensed representing all 3 classes.....Extra, General and Technician.
