Biography

I upload my logs daily for LOTW, Club Log and EQSL and enjoy the tradition of sending and receiving paper QSL cards. If sending a QSL card direct, please just include a self addressed envelope.
No need to send money.

I was born and raised here in the State of Washington and served 21 years in the Navy retiring in 2013 as a Chief Petty Officer.

I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, family time and learning all about Amateur Radio.

For HF I am running a barefoot IC-7300, with a G5RV, 80M Inverted V, 40M Dipole, 40M OCFD, 40M homebrew NVIS.

For VHF/UHF I have a Icom IC-2730A, Yaesu FTM-400XDR and a TYT TH-900D (for 1.25M). Antennas are a Comet GP9, Cushcraft 4 element Yagi and a Ed Fong J-pole. And multiple HT's.

My intrests lately have been all over the place. Antenna making, digital modes such as FT4, FT8, JT65 and WSPR, along with DMR, Wires-X and of course a little DX'ing.

I did my first SSB Contest in March 2020, and now I have that bug as well.

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
