| Biography Hello Friend.
Thank you for looking me up, "Marty" is the name I use on-air. I am an apartment dweller located in Daytona Beach, Florida home of the World's Most Famous Beach. When people hear Daytona Beach, they think of NASCAR and the Daytona 500 race. However, Daytona was not the first place to attract speed buffs, that honor belongs to its Northern neighbor, Ormond Beach. Ormond is called the birthplace of speed because it was the site of the first sanctioned speed trial in 1903.
Working the world a few watts at a time.
At home I typically work the low power digital modes, SSTV, SSB on 10 and 20 meters using my Kenwood TS-480HX radio, which I also can operate from anywhere remotely via the Internet. As many hams know, apartments can pose challenging limitations on the antenna farm. Portable outings I bounce around the bands using different modes of communications.
Ham Radio, the world's greatest hobby.
