| Biography I was first licensed in 1972 as a novice, WN8NHO. I soon got my General ticket and my callsign was upgraded to WB8NHO. Other call signs I've held over the years are KD8QN, NV8I and G5CGQ. I held the British call sign when I was stationed in England for a couple of years in the late 1970's during my tour of duty in the US Air Force. I enjoy CW most. My Vibroplex Bug and keyer paddles are my brass of choice. More recently I have been using the digital modes, my favorite being Olivia. Also I find Hellschreiber (FELD HELL) an interesting mode to operate. I have run an APRS station for 30 years and provide assistance with other local APRS nodes. I ran an IP/AX.25 station over 2 meters in the mid 1980s before APRS became popular. Equipment On air right now is Icom IC-7300 and Icom IC-7000. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
