Biography

I obtained my Amateur Radio License in 1985 (KB4OVL) while at the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office with WN1I and N3CNK (SK). From there I have enjoyed many friends in ham radio. I relocated to Vero Beach where I have met many great Amateur Radio Operators. The group in Vero are very proactive exploring the digital systems, we currently have four D Star, four System Fusion 2 DMR and one P25 repeaters in the county. They are very active on HF bands, we have weekly QRP sessions from our local parks, keep any ear out for us every Saturday morning.

Join us every Monday evening at 8:00 on our 6 meter repeater 53.33 PL 100.0 and Tuesday evening at 8:30 EST for our Treasure Coast Digital Nets we are typically on D Star reflector 78C and at 9:00 EST on DMR talk group 31123.

On the HF bands I am operating with an ELAD FDM-DUO and the DUO-ART 120. I am enjoying getting back on the lower bands after a long time away. I'm currently using a Hygain 6BT vertical, and will be erecting a NA4RR Hex Beam.
