Biography
I have been a licensed Amateur Radio operator since 1962. My previous U.S. call signs were: WN4JOM, WA4PWF and a 1968 Special Event Station at the Republican National Convention in Miami Beach: K4GOP.
I'm a high-speed CW operator and I enjoy chasing rare DX on the lower portions of the HF bands. I also enjoy rag chewing when I have the time.
I am also the QSL manager for Juan, YS1EJ. QSLs for YS1EJ: send your card to W4GJ direct (not via bureau) with a SASE or two (2) Green Stamps. I also accept PayPal.

I got started in HAM radio as a result of having to learn the Morse code in order to receive my First Class rank in the Boy Scouts of America. Steve Fried, WA4AMC (SK) was my Elmer and counselor at Sebring Boy Scout camp. Later on, I earned my Eagle Scout rank. HAM radio opened many doors for me in my life.
