Biography

A longtime SWL (WDX4JT) who became licensed in 2012. I am a member of East Tennessee Skywarn.

I enjoy state & country collecting on SSB mostly. I also enjoy collecting QSLs from the special event stations. I am active on the local repeaters.

I am a modest collector of old radios. I have a 1940 Zenith S-463 floor model, a Zenith G725 bakelite table radio that has been in our family since bought new in 1951, and a Zenith L600 Transoceanic. My old SW receivers include my original Lafayette HA63A from 1965, a Hallicrafters S38A, a Panasonic RF4900, and a Grundig Satellit 800.

I still enjoy BCB (MW) listening and DXing and I have a small collection of Tecsun & CCrane portables for that purpose.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Home: FTDX3000, 20-10-6m fan dipole, Arrow J-Pole
Mobile: FT7900, Comet SS460SSB
Portable: FT897D, LDG YT100, Buddistick, Kenwood TH-F6a
