Biography

Hello and Greetings!

My name is Rakesh Vanamali and I live in a quaint, beautiful town called Sulthan Bathery (Sultan's Battery), in Wayanad District, in Kerala, which is a southern Indian state, popularly known as God's own country for its unmatched natural beauty.

I received my license in December 2022 and am finally able to realize a long-time dream and passion of engaging in HAM radio communications, something that I have been intensely passionate about since childhood.

I owe my passion to my dear late father, Shri T M Vanamali, who introduced to me, at a very young age, the fascinating world of radio waves and propagation characteristics.

Professionally, I am an independent business consultant, managing my own business consulting venture, advising clients on business strategy, quality initiatives involving lean and six sigma, and people excellence practices.

I enjoy photography, cycling, keeping abreast of geo-political developments across the world, travelling, reading & writing, listening to music, and watching non-commercial movies.

Looking forward to exploring the world through HAM radio and understanding people, places, and culture in a whole new dimension.
