Biography
2017 Update.
With much regret I have sold the 706 ... but I have purchased a 756 Pro III to replace it.
Now exclusively on digital modes (I have no damn idea where I put the microphone ... probably still in the box in the spare bedroom) ... still using the ZS6BKW - because it just works! I think about the spiderbeam from time to time, but the performance of the ZS6 keeps amazing me .... so I move on to other projects :)
Thanks for looking
David

Now most active on JT65 and JT9 .... 40m 30m 20m 17m 15m ... I hope you see me and I can see you too!
Slowly working my way towards DXCC and WAS awards ... only a few more of each to go, if we do work can you PLEASE conform with LOTW and eQSL.cc ?? Much appreciated.
Only occasionally on PSK now - but I do lurk around so you never know where I might pop up.

Mainly active on 80 and 40 meters SSB but now have started playing with digital modes - WOO HOO!!

most often lurking around 14.070Mhz.
Hope to see you on my waterfall :)
Worked DXCCs:
Equipment
Radios:
Digital mode - Icom 706Mk2G connected to a signalink USB running about 50 watts.
SSB mode - Kenwood TS-520S/VFO-520s/DG-5/AT-200/SP-520 running about 100 watts
- Kenwood TS-680S/AT-200 - latest addition to the collection
Keep thinking about a linear but can't quite justify it and now I'm playing with digital modes guess it just isn't as important.
Mobile/FM - FT-8900R quad band
- FT-90 dual band
- IC T-90A hh
- IC-24H 2m
Antenna:
Carolina Windom 160m about 100 feet up in the air radiating east -> west
ZS6BKW (a computer optimized G5RV) for 40/20/17/12/10 and 6m. This long-wire sits about 10 feet above the Carolina Windom and is rotated 90 degrees to the Windom ie radiating north -> south
Spider beam is the next project ..........
