THANKS FOR THE QSO (If we had one, that is!) If not, give me a shout if you hear me on. QRS np
- I have been fascinated by the magic of radio for as long as I can remember. As a pre-teen living in rural Southern Ontario, I was interested in everything radio... SWL, BCBDX, LW (still have my homebrew 3 tube super regenerative receiver), PIRATE RADIO (had my own stn, 1200khz WZAP), CB, HAM RADIO etc.
- Worked 40 Meter CW in the mid 1960's with the help of Harley, VE3BOK then.
- Got my ticket in 1979 in Montreal Quebec, VE2FYB.
- Moved to the Toronto, Ontario area in 1986 and was issued VE3UXJ.
- Worked in wireless/radio telecommunications my entire career. I worked in a lab, then I got into sales and marketing ending up as VP International Sales for a Canadian Manufacturer.
- Operated Classic Radio Restorations LLC (restored 1920s to 1950s vacuum tube radios)
- Other interests: Photography, Flying (Piper Cherokee C-FKKJ), Old Time Radio Shows, Big band/swing music Hunting, Shooting.
- I operate 100% CW (the Original Digital). Straight key or bug only.
- Love QRP: I never ceased to marvel what 5 watts can do. About 50% of my contacts are QRP.
- Hold: Advanced - CW
- SKCC #25281, LoTW, QRZ.com, Member RAC.
- I QSL 100%, no stamps, money etc. No bureau. I UPLOAD TO LoTW WEEKLY.
- My QSL card is in the style of the 1940s and reflects my great admiration of the 'Golden Age of Radio' and the many hams of that era.

Not to act is to act.
