on the air since 1970. great hobby with many connections to other hobbies. always been a home brewer,just finished putting the radio equipment in piece of furniture I call "ham-in-a-box". once I finish the station controller I'll update the photo. Also into listening to NOAA satellites and other space stuff, I use the FT-60 with a Daiwa amp. on a homemade QFH. Soon to have beams made for vhf and uhf with a rotor for elevation.

2m fm beacon
have solar powered beacon VE3MLA in 144.290mhz id is every 15min in daylight every hour at night. transmits the battery voltage as well. TX is an old HTX202 with atmel 90ls4433 I programmed and made into the controller. with a 12v battery it has been running since December 2015 maintenance free out in my pool utility shed
