Biography

I received my Amateur Radio license April 1978 and subsequently passed my Advanced Operator license in July 2000. I have been sporadically active in the hobby since receiving my license. My focus was on 10 and 20 meter SSB and CW operation, as well as 2M and 440. I did take a bit of a hiatus for a few years from Ham Radio, but a few months ago reengaged and have been quite active with our local club (Hamilton Amateur Radio Club - HARC) https://hamiltonarc.com/ and endeavoring to assist with our local events such as monthly club meetings, Field Day, and Tailgate Treasures (Junk in the Trunk). Of late, I've taken quite and interest in digital 20 meter FT-8 operations. I currently reside in a bungalow townhouse condominium, so have antenna restrictions which limit me to whatever I can install in my attic. I presently have a 10M and 20M dipole as as well as a dual band 2M/440 vertical. I've had decent success with some DX QSO's specifically into South America and eastern Europe. I continue to enjoy our hobby and learn something new each day. 73's to all!
