Se activará estación especial durante la Serie del Caribe de Beisbol

Desde Las Tunas, territorio cuyo equipo se coronó recientemente Campeón de la Serie Nacional de Beisbol y que reforzado, representará a Cuba en la Serie del Caribe, trasmitirá la estación durante los días en que se celebre el importante evento. Con indicativo T40SC, dicha estación operará en las bandas de HF desde 10 hasta 160 metros, dependiendo siempre de la propagación y la disponibilidad de tiempo que posean los operadores, por lo que no será una actividad a tiempo completo. Se pretende operar en CW, SSB y FT8 y se otorgará un certificado conmemorativo a quienes la contacten al menos en cuatro bandas, sin importar la modalidad en que se realicen los QSOs. La QSL será solo via directa a través de CO8ZZ.

La Serie del Caribe es un torneo que reúne anualmente a los campeones de las ligas invernales profesionales de los países que integran la Confederación de Beisbol Profesional del Caribe: Mexico, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana y Venezuela. Desde el 2015 Cuba participa en calidad de invitado, aunque recientemente solicitó su membresía plena. Este año además, participará un equipo representante de Panamá. El evento se desarrollará del 4 al 10 de febrero. El equipo tunero de beisbol se tituló este año por vez primera en la historia de la Serie Nacional de Beisbol.


Special station will be activated during the Caribbean Series

From Las Tunas, territory whose team was recently crowned National Baseball Series Champion and reinforced, will represent Cuba in the Caribbean Series, will transmit the station during the days in which the important event is held. With indicative T40SC, said station will operate in the HF bands from 10 to 160 meters, always depending on the propagation and availability of time that operators have, so it will not be a full-time activity. It is intended to operate in CW, SSB and FT8 and a commemorative certificate will be awarded to those who contact it in at least four bands, regardless of the modality in which the QSOs are made. The QSL will only be via direct through CO8ZZ.

The Caribbean Series is a tournament that annually gathers the champions of the professional winter leagues of the countries that make up the Confederation of Professional Baseball of the Caribbean: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Since 2015, Cuba has participated as a guest, although recently it has requested full membership. This year, a representative team from Panama will participate. The event will take place from 4 to 10 February. The baseball team of Las Tunas was named this year for the first time in the history of the National Baseball Series.
