Biography

My name is Maxim, I was born in 1976. I started getting interested in radio electronics at school. I also chose a profession in this field. I like to build antennas, delve into the workings of electronic devices, and solder circuits for a home radio laboratory. I received my callsign in 2014.
I am interested in making DIY useful devices. I use them for automation at my summer cottage. The direction of remote monitoring of environmental parameters and remote control is also very interesting for me. I program in Arduino IDE using esp8266 and esp32 boards.
Whenever possible, I go hiking with a backpack and a tent. I take with me a mobile kit: antenna, transceiver and power supply. Coming out of the woods on air is a special feeling. I like it.

Equipment

Currently, I am fascinated by QRP operations using digital modes, such as FT8. My transceiver is a Tr(u)SDX from DL2MAN, which is controlled by a Raspberry Pi. I use WSJT-X software and an Inverted V antenna for 40 meters with a 1:1 balun.
