Biography
1971, started with radio when I had just left the military service. Started at the 11-meter band as a pirate callsign was 049 Linschoten, radiostation Moon, I was a member of the VRA NCBHC with registration number PCB-3563.
I also was a listener amateur with the sign PA 3057 from the VRZA.
1977, Did exam for the then called D amateur as PD0CDA and became also a member of the VRZA and the Veron.
1978, Did examen for the C license and get the call PE1BTF. I was very active on the 2-meter band with telex, moonbounce and antenna building. That time a did a part-time study at the university.
Till now on I am still active as an amateur but more listening than talking.
The last few years I've been busy on HF with FT8, and the last 5 years I've been active as a volunteer with the JOTA JOTI of the scouting group Rey de Carle in Tilburg.
It gives satisfaction to tell and teach other people and especially young people something about radio amateurism. Furthermore I still work every day as a designer, inventor of various electronics and in mechanical engineering.
Especially my own company keeps me active, all kinds of dough hooks and machines. For more information see www.dejongparts.biz and www.superdoughhook.com, for everyone who reads this have a nice day and maybe we'll work together on the 10 meter band, where I've been most active the last few years. 73 's
