Biography
Born in 1954 (August 28) in Haarlem. I lived in Vijfhuizen (Haarlemmermeerpolder, so reclaimed land) from 1981 till 2013, then we moved back to Haarlem, where we own a house in the center, within the original citywalls of the 13th century.
Worked for KLM Engineering all my life, and for the last 32 years as Type Project Engineer. Type = Aircraft Type: 747, 747-400, 737 Next Gen and Airbus A330, the last type, from 2003 until retirement in 2017. As a TPE I had the opportunity to use onboard equipment to have HF contacts with many fellow HAMs. This happened during positioning flight to KLM's Main Base (Schiphol Airport Amsterdam) after Heavy Maintance visits abroad, as well as after delivery from Boeing and Airbus
