Biography

My name is Vlastimil "Vlasto" Pejchal. I was born in 1938 and I live in historical town Tabor, located about 100 km south of Praha, that is of capital. Radio is my hobby number one. From 1956 to 1964 I had been a listener with listener-number OK1-4716 and radio operator on OK3KAS, OK1KUH and OK1KTA club stations.
In 1964 I have got my first radioamateur licence with call-sign OK1AKD. In 1994 my call-sign was changed to OK1AK.

Main interests:

-All variants digi- mode, but my favorite mode is PSK31 (63,125) which is just a blast to operate. Also the results even running low power are just amazing to me.
-CW mode I use only for QSOs with DX-peditions and for some Contests. At this time classical QSOs at CW mode does not make never.
-Radio amateurs gadgetry as: different power amplifiers, antenna tuners, interfaces, measuring or testing equipments etc.
-Now SDR radio as well.
