Biography
35 years in the electronics industry working for Sinclair Radionics, Tate Quadraphonic Audio, Ampex, BTS, Site Digital Video, Abekas, Silicon Graphics International. Lived in 3 countries and worked in 50 countries.
Much of what I do related to the hobby is a lot of repairing and testing of other folks power supplies as well as programming of Kenwood/Motorola/Baofeng and other VHF/UHF transceivers, As well as working on a number of personal projects. Some of these other projects include a Kenwood 830, a Kenwood 940, a Hammerlund XL-1 amplifier, and a Denton Clipperton amplifier, and many other projects related to test equipment.
As a member of the local ARES group, and Director of the Spokane County "Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing Effort" Emergency Communication Response team, I am heavily involved with emergency communications. One thing I did in this vein was to install a commercial VHF repeater system for the S.C.O.P.E. ERC group.
I am also a member of the Spokane DX association and Vice President of the Inland Empire VHF Radio Amateurs club.
One of my other passions has been hunting, I have hunted Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Carolina's, Colorado, California, Michigan, and Washington. Since I feel that it necessary for us to pass on traditions, I taught Hunter education in California for 27 years.
My photography interests started in 1964, and I have been seeing images on a dozen web sites for the last 20 years. check out my Facebook pager more photos. You will see I very much love wildlife photography, and have been to Tanzania 3 times on photo safari's.
A family tradition has been that one member of nearly every generation in the last 4 generations has been a member of the Lions Club International. I have served as Vice President and President of our local group.

Have a Hex beam at about 35 ft, a fan dipole running N/S at 30 ft, and an end-fed running N/W end at 20 and transformer at 30ft.
