Biography

In 1955 Santa brought me an S-38c . I still have the SWL "logs" as I took the radio to my grandparents house in Chicago. After my expedited college experience, worked at WLS in 65- 67 then Basic Training. Upon return to Chicago interviewed at WAAF but got into the HiFi BIZ, then Pro Audio business.... that lasted for 50 years as contract salesrep compay for TEAC/TASCAM, JBL & JBL PRO , Sennheiser then AKG then Shure Brothers, also APHEX, UREI and others. in the late 50s without any help from area hams , I tried 78 rpm Ameco recordings to learn code! I should have found an ELMER, if they existed then ( HAHA ) ....

It took me till the 70s to tell myself that I could learn morse, and in three weeks, with the help of W1AW I had enough Morse to pass the novice.( WN9MOV).

In 74 I was the sales rep for TEAC in IL & WI, and the US Boss Mikio Matsubayshi brought me an FT101 from JA. Now I had to upgrade to use the 101 on SSB!!! so the 13 wpm General ..(WB9MOV). Advanced and finally the EXTRA (NY9H) and 20 sounded SO slow at the test!!!

Member of NIDXA Northern Illinois DX Association then I moved to Prosperity.
