Biography

Ship radio officer 1945 - 1950 and 1982 - 1994. Worked as a radiotelegraph
operator at WNU on two separate times. First amateur call was W5LTX issued in 1946,then became W6NYB in 1951 and N6SL in 1978. Received BSEE from Louisiana
State University ( LSU ) in Jan. 1951. Worked as an antenna development engineer for Northrop Aircraft from 1954 to 1982 doing mainly aircraft antennas and some
H/F point to point.

Equipment

Presently using a Kenwood TS 570 driving an Ameritron AL 811 to produce about 450 watts output to several stealth antennas. Live in a gated community with strict antenna restrictions but manage to function as a NCS station for several SOWP/CHRS CW nets,QCWA national CW net and a weekly sideswiper net on 7044 KHz every Thursday evening at 7 PM Eastern Time (2300 UTC during summer time)
