Biography

I was first licensed in 1966 and have held the following calls: WN5PUM, WA5PUN, WD6FIW, N6AFI and now N6DW. I contest often, though more for fun than competitively. I am a member of the Potomac Valley Radio Club and the Northern California Contest Club. I have been a member of River City Contesters and the Mother Lode DX/Contest Club. I am also an officer/member of the Franklin County (Virginia) Amateur Radio Club.

I was born and raised in Texas, lived in California until 2013 and am now a resident of southwest Virginia. I live at Smith Mountain Lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition to ham radio, I am an oil painter, and my website is DanaPhillips-Art.com
