Biography
2020 - After about a twenty year hiatus from Ham Radio, I am back into the hobby as I am now retired. I took my station apart once when we moved in the mid-90s and finally put it back together in 2020. I am amazed by the changes in the hobby since the mid 90s when I was previously active.
2021 - I am trying to update all of my radios, etc., to some more modern equipment. The old Kenwood TS830S served me well but the new Flex 6400 with Automatic Antenna Tuner has been a blast and is highly recommended.
2022 - I am currently enjoying working Digital Modes on HF and getting set up for VHF Digital Modes. The recent band openings this cycle have made operations a lot of fun. Been playing around with WSPR and can be heard at incredible distances using only 200 miliwatts! I finally got serious and made the push to get my DXCC documented and now have the certificate in hand.
