Biography
My name is Brian Duddy and I am an Amateur Radio Historian & Preservationist.
I love the history of amateur radio and collect vintage QSL cards from the 1920's - 1960's, early photographs of amateur radio stations & equipment, amateur radio license plates and any other amateur radio memorabilia.
I am a 47 years old married father of 11 year old twin girls.
I am a 9-1-1 Dispatcher with the Clarkstown Police Department and a 30 year member of the Central Nyack Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides Amateur Radio, I also enjoy photography & weather. I chase storms locally and am also a driver for Silver Lining Tours, a professional storm chasing company.
I am a member of the Crystal Radio Club, Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club, Orange County Amateur Radio Club & Hudson Valley Digital Network
I love being out in the field doing portable activations from POTA, SOTA, IOTA & LOTA and hunt them as well.
I was a proud member of the N2O Hudson River Radio Relay Team that operated on the top of Bear Mountain
which was valid for POTA K-2010 Bear Mountain State Park & K-4556 Appalachian Trail National Scenic Trail on June 12th, 2021
