Biography
Have been messing around with radio's since 1976 after been given an old home-brew SWR which you had to unplug coils to get on different bands by a member of the Clifton Amateur Radio Society G3GHN Which used to be located at New Cross in South London, but believe the have now located to Bromley
I have had several radio's over the years Realistic DX-390 for HF Frequencies I also purchased a YUPITERU MVT-7100 for HF and VHF/UHF
Having since gained my ham license I now use a Yaesu FT-710 for HF Bands, and Anytone AT-D578UV Pro FM/DMR VHF/UHF as a home-base I also use a Yaesu FC-700 Antenna Tuner to allow me to get the 60 mtr & 80 mtr bands using the Yaesu ATAS 120A HF Mobile Antenna
I have since moved onto a Canal Narrow-boat and travel the country by canals and rivers and will be limited for space antenna wise, but will be interesting to see what contacts i can make living on water.
