Hi there I passed the foundation exam 10th august 2008 and have been a SWL since early eighties and enjoyed decoding etc ..... I have also been into computers since the days of the zx spectrum etc and proper PC computers since 1992 and also building and upgrading my own computers since 1992



I now live in Kettering since March 2011 I work HF from my home QTH as although I live in a ground floor flat , my landlord has let me erect an aerial , I started using my SRC X80 at 7ft until the February 2013 winds blew it down 2 days later . so I took it apart and now use the unun from the base and 66ft of wire 10 ft off ground running along a wall .I mainly work PSK modes. I often go mobile and on 2m/70cm i use a lafayette SG7900 which i find is very good and for my HF mobile i use a QTEK Intruder II for 80m - 6m I recently (May 2012) aquired a 11m fishing pole which i will be setting up for portable operation and i also use a jumpstarter 12v 7ah for powering radio when portable or mobile
