My current rig is a FlexRadio 6300, ACOM 1000 Linear Amplifier, LDG AT-1000Proll Autotuner, MFJ VERSA TUNER V, GAP Titan DX Vertical, End-fed 31' Vertical Wire with UNUN and Chainlink Fence Counterpoise. I operate primarily SSB and the FT-8 Digital Mode. ICOM 706MKIIG and LDG IT-100 HF/VHF/UHF

Age is 75 and I retired to San Diego North County in Oceanside, CA.

I was first licensed in the Panama Canal Zone in 1958 as KZ5AT. My first rig was a Heathkit DX-40, VF-1 VFO, Hammarlund HQ-110 and a Cubical Quad (bamboo spreaders). At age 12, I worked the world as KZ5AT.

D'Arsonval movement panel meter indicates final grid or plate current.
VF-1 Variable Frequency Oscillator-Covers 160-80-40-20-15-11-10 meters
Hammarlund HQ-110 smooth-acting, illuminated and precalilbrated dial
OA2 voltage regulator tube for stability
6AU6 electron-coupled Clapp oscillator
Copper plated chassis-aluminum case-extensive shielding-ceramic coil forms, switch wafers, and tuning condenser insulation
The Hammarlund HQ-110 amateur receiver tunes the basic amateur bands: 1.8-2, 3.5-4, 7-7.3, 14-14.4, 21-21.6, 28-30 and 50-54 MHz. Enhancements include: antenna trimmer, accurate analog dial, noise limiter, RF gain, S-meter, stand-by and AVC on/off.

Formerly lived in Modesto, CA.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
