Biography

Ham since 1993. Retired Civil Engineer who studied to get a ham license when an Elmer sent me his second hand equipment. Back then ten meters was open worldwide and contacts were amazing! I’m not a contester, and enjoy casual, moderately short QSOs. And recently joined the OMISS Net.
I’ve lived in and visited several countries, and states of the US, and love contacting DX stations. I really enjoy the occasional camping trip to state parks and portable ops under the trees!

Equipment

Yaesu FT 891.
Yaesu FT 450.
10m-40m MFJ 1796 vertical dipole on my chain-link fence.
10m-80m End-Fed Half-Wave at about 7 meters up in my backyard trees.
Ham sticks, homemade dipoles, and MFJ Big Stick for portable use.
