Biography

I started in radio in 1973 , when I was going into Jr.High . My farther got me a C.B. Radio for going to the next step of my higher learning in life . this is right befor the BIG C.B. BOOM in the 70's .

I was in and out of radio for years, until 1990 when I got in it again . This time I got into SSB on CB band a became a member of the 22 Xray club out of Alabama . I was in it for several years until it disbanded .

In September of 2002 a buddy asked me if I was on the bands and I said No, He thought I had my ticket. I told him that I had thought about takeing the test but had never done so .So I started to get ready for the next test section . I got ready for the test here on the QRZ web site by takeing the practice test and on the 08-13-2002 I took the test and past the test.Sense then I and have gone into storm spotter's and county of Franklin EC work and ARES . I have Emulated Quite a bit of stuff in the short time I have Been in this Hobbie . It has been one if the most fun and enjoying things I have ever gotten onto .

I hope that maybe I can be a help to someone or even my local county, I think that Ham operators are a good old time group of people helping people in any way. What ever, if car brokedown we will give a ride or maybe fix it ,bale hay ,put up a tower, install a beam , or even cut a tree . The value's that this country was made on that are rare to find now days we can find in our MTARS (Middle Tennessee Amature Radio Society) group . I hope that everyone has the same in there HAM group . If not maybe you will move to Middle Tennessee and join our group.
