Biography
[About Me]
I’m Shane Kerr, a father and husband from Northern Indiana. At 26, I’m always looking to learn something new, and that curiosity led me to amateur radio. I got into radio as a way to prepare for potential disruptions to our electrical infrastructure and cell networks—I’d rather have the skills and enjoy the time spent on it than be caught off guard and not be able to operate in a time of need. As I’ve explored the hobby, I’ve found I really enjoy both the technical challenges and the community that comes with it.
[Interests]
Outside of radio, I love spending time with my family and exploring the outdoors. You’ll often find me kayaking, camping, biking, fishing, or diving into mycology and foraging. I also have a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of nature whenever I can.
