Biography

Hello...from Amateur Radio Station-KE4QCM, Tom Fuller (Tomas) in Stone Mountain, Georgia, U.S.A. (Dekalb County).

LOCATOR: EM73WS
ITU ZONE: 8
CQ ZONE: 5

I have been a ham radio operator for 30 years since 1994. My favorite bands are 15 meters and 40 meters with a great interest in amateur radio emergency communications and speaking with Spanish speaking stations. I have been a net control operator for local ARES nets for 20 years. Also, I am a Dekalb County/GA A.R.E.S./Skywarn Member and an ARRL Member. You can find out more information about being an amateur radio operator at www.arrl.org Some people say Amateur (Ham) Radio is the original social network since it had its beginnings early in the 20th century and has been in existence a little over a hundred years. I started out as a shortwave listener in the 1980s and then got my amateur radio license in 1994. Besides ragchewing, I like DXing, weak signal QSO in VHF/UHF , contesting, QRP, homebrew equipment, emergency communications (ARES/Skywarn) and digital mode communications. I am currently working towards the ARRL DXCC (DX Century Club) award and the CQ WPX awards so I appreciate any and all QSO. I upload my QSO-logs to ARRL LOTW, eqsl.cc and ClubLog. From my location, I have been able to talk all over the world on the HF Bands meeting new amateur radio operators and making lifelong friends. I am a member of the Alford Memorial Radio Club www.totr-radio.org in Stone Mountain, Georgia, USA,a member of Dekalb ARES and a member of Georgia ARES. I am AEC for Net Operations for Dekalb Co. ARES, dekalbares.org . My favorite digital mode is packet radio. For more information on my packet radio station and information how you can setup a packet radio station-click here

I am active on the following bands/modes: (Mobile, base, portable/emergency capability)
