Biography

I started with Ham radio in the 8th Grade building a 2 tube CW transmitter and a 3 tube Regen Receiver. Got my Novice license after College and then left the hobby for many years. I started listening to Shortwave again a couple of years ago and then decided to get my license st year 2010. I received my General ticket on 6-17-2010 and its been fun ever since.

June 2015

This was my station - The HF is an ICOM- 718 bought used. The receiver is a Yaesu FRG-100 with FM adapter. The TenTec1254 General Coverage Receiver was a kit I recently completed (3/16/13). The Yaesu 7900 - is my UHF/VHF transceiver -

ALL That was Sold and replaced with a YAESU- FT847, a Yaesu VR-5000 in the Shack and
use aYaesu VX-6R , a TYT-MD-380 DMR HT Digital/Analog 5 watt UHF and a Wouxsun KG-UV920P Dual band Moblie unit

2018 - Now running a Kenwood TS-2000 Transciever, a Yaesu VR-5000 , a TYT MD-2017 Dual Band DMR/Analog HT and a Wouxson UV-920P dual band mobile unit in the car
