Biography

Licensed in 1960 at age 12 (KN9DJT), General at age 13 (K9DJT), Extra at age 62.

1st Class FCC Commercial License in 1970.

Retired from the Fluke Corporation in 2009.

Enjoy DXing, Contests, Structured Nets and antenna experimentation.

Modes include SSB, CW, JT-65, PSK-31 and RTTY.

I also host a remote EchoLink (Node 220924) to the WE9R Repeater(444.350 Mhz - PL 114.8 ) in Plymouth, WI.

You might also hear me as K9DJT/9 which is from my cabin within the north woods of Wisconsin.

Other interests include Fly Fishing & Tying, Hunting, and Carpentry.

Equipment

Station consists of a Yaesu FT-2000, Desperado Amp, Palstar Tuner, SignaLink USB, a KT34A tri-bander at 40 feet (12M), Half-slopers on 30 and 40M, and a Gamma matched tower/inverted L for 80 and 160M.

Mobile station is a Kenwood TM-V7 and a Yaesu FT-450A with 10-75M Hamsticks. I also carry a Kenwood TH-G71 handheld in the vehicle.
