Biography

Received my Novice and Technician license in 1979 during high school (as KA8GLA) under a great mentor, Ira Bickham, K8HRR.

Upgraded to General in 2020. I am now retired and getting back into the hobby.

Chose K8BCL after upgrading to General.

I log via LOTW, EQSL, CLUBLOG, and QRZ instantly using GridTracker.

I periodically upload logs here on QRZCQ.

I will return a QSL card if one is sent directly to me. No bureau please.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Operating a Yaesu FT-991A, and a very "compromised" and customized Alpha Delta DX-EE 10/12/15/17/20/40M dipole, inverted V. Added 6M, 12M, 17M and 30M to it. Have an "Ed Fong" 2M/70CM dual band J pole.
