Biography
Thanks for looking me up! Please call me "Chuck".
I was first licensed in 1962 as KN3VPZ. Since then I passed the exams for Extra and Radiotelephone First Class licenses. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of Ham Radio. My first passion is CW. Currently I am into all the digital modes, software defined radios (SDR), and home brewing. My station consists of a Viking Valiant and 75A4 that I use for AM mostly on 10 meters. My "big rig" is an Icom IC-7700 and PW-1. The SDRs I built are the Genesis G59 and G11. I just started a Softrock SDR. I am going through one of my "antenna" raising periods. I love to experiment and try new things.
I QSL 100%. Direct is OK, SAE appreciated, eQSL by request, and I fully support Logbook of The World (LoTW). LoTW is a very good program once you get pass the gates of entrance, but once in the water's fine. It's a great way to earn awards and the more people sign up and use it the better it is for everyone. Please give it a try it's working great!
To be continued. Thanks for looking!
