Biography
Licensed since 1956 currently admin for K2YXV (Father) and trustee for W2ABC, Broadcast Employees Amateur Radio Society.
Held a license for U.S. military personnel in Germany, DL4BD and trustee for DL4BDA (CLUB)between 1962 and 1964
ARRL member since 1957; member of Raritan Valley Radio Club, W2QW; Member and President of South Plainfield Amateur Radio Club, NJ2SP.
Married for over 50 years and with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
Currently retired from ABC/DISNEY-television network after 30 years working in RF operations and engineering. Prior to that there were two firms I was employed by as technician in land-mobile service the last of which was with RCA Land Mobile Division as a field Technical Service Rep. just prior to my employment with ABC.
Interests are in HF and VHF/UHF as well. Participating in contests, training and helping new amateurs and license study along with ARRL VE testing is my pleasure.
Equipment
Station equipment includes 52 foot crank-up Tri-Ex tower with a Telrex TB-6EM tri-band beam, wire dipoles and several UHF and Vhf antennas to be installed.
Radios include a Yaesu FT-980 (vintage; 1984); Icom IC-7000; Alinco DX-70T; TEN TEC;
assorted ICOM and YAESU VHF/UHF mobiles and handhelds
