Biography

 Civil Protection Volunteers Group of Mikras



It was founded in 2009 with the no. 15748 / 2009,08.07.2009 decision of the Court of First Instance of Thessaloniki. It is part of the Ministry of Civil Protection in the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of Greece with registration number 13/2010.

The purpose of the team is to selflessly offer assistance in training volunteer assistants in the necessary infrastructure for risk prevention and response to emergencies and crises.

The team is active in First Aid, Forest Firefighting, Forest Protection. Acts in the Search & Rescue of "mountain field" - "liquid element" of people from mountaineering, naval and other accidents, as well as the provision of logistics or management of humanitarian aid within the Greek borders. Participates in the preservation and re-creation of our natural wealth for the protection of the environment with Restoration Techniques, Ecosystem Management, Environmental Quality Control. The aim and priority of the group is to strengthen the interest and mobilize volunteers for the protection of the environment and the management of natural disasters.
