Biography

I was born on July 10, 1963 in Reggio Calabria, in the city of the Riace Bronzes, of the Fata Morgana and of the bergamots. I am happily married to Thea. I have 3 children, Francesco (IW8ROM), Vincenzo and Kevin. I obtained a High School Diploma of Electro Techniques and I am Specialized in Automation. Since 1992 I have been working at the Reggio Calabria State Police Department. I began my first radio activities in 1979 with CB, then in 1985 my first Call: IW0CXA. Since then, I performed VHF activities in 144Mhz e 432 Mhz winning many prizes. VHF/UHF Manager of the ARI Ciociaria Section where I was responsible for the Field Day Ciociaria, together with Liri DXer’s Team. I have a passion for photography since 1983 using a Canon EOS 50D with powerful optical discs. From November 7, 2002 the callsign IZ8FFA.; My main appoints: the CQWW (all mode), WPX and the ARI Contest. Another hobby of mine is hunting for references of D.C.I. - Italian Castles Award - and when I have time, I am an activator. My QSLs are sent through the ARI bureau, LoTW and I also send via eQSL.cc which I believe is an optimal post-contest log verifying system or various activities to control the logs to check for any errors performed while digitating the call, with consequent penalization of the QSO.

Please, read well!!!
if you don't have received the QSL Card, send me a mail with the data of the QSO.
if you are a SWL and are interesting at the QSL Card, send me a mail with the data of the QSO and your information.
I reply by bureau and by eqsl.cc.
