Biography
Hello everyone,
My name is Emilio, and I would like to share my passion for radio with all of you. It all began when my uncle installed a CB radio in his car, naming it "Red Cloud." It was an incredible experience to discover that all it took was such a compact radio, a simple cable, and an antenna that looked like an ordinary piece of wire to communicate over kilometers. I still remember that day when my cousin and I turned on the radio, found an open channel, and started our first QSO with the words "Break al canale, break." That experience was so captivating that it has never left me, dating back to the year 1984.
Over the years, I set up my first fixed CB radio station, which remains operational to this day. Starting in 2023, I embarked on the path of a radio amateur and expanded my station with an Icom 7410. For my main antenna, I use a self-built EFHW. Currently, I am experimenting with antenna construction and I am about to finish a multi-band HF dipole.
I can't wait to "meet you in the air"!
73, Emilio
