| Biography Passionate lover of electronics and radio communications since the 70s, at the age of 13 he obtained one of the first "Concessions for low power radioelectric devices" (CB) in Italy and made his first DX in QRP (AM) connecting from the mountain "Vetta d'Italia" a station on the French Atlantic coast. In 1981, too busy with university studies to take the OM exam, he became SWL (I-335-VE) with a Kenwood R1000. For some time he also devoted himself to broadcast listening with a Grundig Satellit. While studying for the PhD in Astronomy, his passion for electronics moved to the assembly of computers that he used for his computational calculations. He carried out scientific research at the Department of Astronomy of the University of Padova, dealing with Dynamical Models of Galaxies and with the modeling of the atmospheric propagation of Electromagnetic Pollution in the range 300-800nm (visible light), reaching international prominence in this sector. With the support of the Italian Space Agency, in 2001 he set up the first Laboratory of Photometry and Radiometry of Light Pollution. In 2007, also having a degree in Pharmacy, he took over from his father the ancient Pharmacy "alla Madonna" in Thiene, dating back to the 15th century, owned by his family since 1805. In 2022, he finally found the chance to get the long desired amateur radio license. Equipment Yaesu FTDX10 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
