Biography

IQ3VO is the Club Station of the Verona Section of A.R.I. (Associazione Radioamatori Italiani): the Italian Radioamateurs Association.
On air from 3rd May 2003. It's located in an old Austrian fort built in XIX century on the top of a hill that overlooks the city of Verona (of Romeo and Juliet fame).

In August 2011 a group of A.R.I. Verona members founded the VERONA DX TEAM.
The mission of the group is the activation of IQ3VO on all bands and participating in contests, as well as the construction and installation of antennas for the radio club station. We will also program DXpeditions, the first of which was in Guinea-Bissau (J52EME - J52HF in March 2012), activated for the first time via EME on VHF and UHF, and active on HF and 6m.
Next DXpedition will be in Rodrigues Island 3B9EME (september 2013): will be active on EME and HF.
