Biography
The first transceiver I ever used was an old "Lake" 40ch CB radio station belonged to my grandfather.
Later, a friend gave me a little PMR446 radio. I had fun by installing a BNC connector and making 2 yagis antennas (6el. 1meter & 14el. 2,5meters).
I even bought a President Lincoln for talk with other CB's in 11 meters and for curiousity of what I can hear in the nearby of 27 MHz.
I'd like to be a radio amateur, but for now I can just listen to radio amateurs who talk on frequencies, and for this purpuose I have got and I use Presindent Lincoln (10-11 meters), Albrecht AE2990 (10-11-12 meters), Baofeng UV-5R (2m & 70cm), Tecsun PL-660 (0.1-30 MHz am ssb) and the last arrived the RTX Yaesu FT-897 (0.1-56 Mhz/2m/70cm all mode) that I use for receive Ham QSOs or transmit in CB27/CB43/PMR446/LPD bands. I also like to create antennas and know how those work.
I'm actually unable to hear 160/80/40/20/17/15/12/10/6 and I'm looking for solutions.
