Biography

Licensed since 1983, but started ham radio in 1978. Was active in fox hunting, and strated operation at the club station HA0KHQ in 1981. Was active member of HG0D contest station between 1988-1992. Also licensed as AA1BW, was active member of Boston ARC and Harvard ARC, operated W1AF. Elected HAM of the year in 1993 of BARC. Working mostly CW and digital. FT8 is gaining popularity, as I can work on my computer and still do ham radio in the background,
Like QRP, hilltopping as well. Entering some conetst for the fun.
My profession keeps me busy, as I am a medical doctor, haematologist, immunologist. Leader of the bone marrow transplant programme of the department keeps me busy.

Equipment

I am a collector, have a large collection of Yaesu, Icom, Kenwood, Ten-Tec, Heathkit equipment.
May main operating radios are: FT-DX3000, FT-450D for digital, Ten-Tec Omni VI+, Ten-Tec Jupiter, Ten-Tec Paragon, Ten-Tec Corsair, TS-850S, IC-751A, FT-736R, Kenwood TS-790E. ZZ-750 amplifier for HF. antenna is mainly a DX-88 in back garden plus some wire antennas.
